Cody Rhodes is among the most respected superstars in all of sports entertainment. After leaving AEW last year and going to WWE, Rhodes elevated himself to a higher position, becoming a main-event level talent.

Although, last year, just months after making his return to WWE, he suffered a pectoral injury, and had to be sidelined. But Rhodes recovered and made his return at Royal Rumble 2023, and won the event to establish a match between him and Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

Both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are the most popular crowd-drawing superstars currently. And with their match scheduled at The Grandest event of them all, the fans are excited about the match to culminate. Reigns have been dominating the top of the table for around 900 days, and fans finally want someone to topple him from the top.

However, fans are yet to see Reigns come face-to-face with Rhodes. Both these stalwarts have not faced each other till now, and Rhodes has only interacted with Paul Heyman. WWE legend Ric Flair, however, had a well-explained justification for this.

What did Ric Flair say about the storyline between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns

Ric Flair is one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time and has created a much-respected sphere for himself in the industry. Recently, while speaking on his podcast, Flair opined on the storyline between Rhodes and Reigns.

He claimed that the less interaction both of these superstars have, the better it is. He said, I think they are going to give it a good month. I don’t think that’s about to heat up and actually the less interaction they have, the better.”

Ric Flair justifies keeping Roman Reigns away from Cody Rhodes prior to WrestleMania 39

As per The Nature Boy, both Reigns and Rhodes should be kept separated from each right now before WrestleMania. And he had the perfect justification to support his claims. Flair stated that there are only a few ways to keep the two stalwarts separated.

He said, You know, spending weeks and weeks of back and forth and unless it’s really really good, it becomes repetitive.” Flair stated that having them meet would mean one guy getting over another, and that would put the other person down.
