WWE Superstar Becky Lynch is one of the biggest names in professional wrestling. Lynch is a 1-time Raw Women’s Champion and a 4-times SmackDown Women’s Champion. She is also the first WWE female superstar to hold both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championship at the same time.

Becky Lynch debuts as the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’

Becky Lynch (Rebecca Quin) is an Irish wrestler from Dublin, Ireland. She made her WWE debut on 26 June 2014 on NXT. Since then Lynch has impressed the WWE fans and has got many nicknames for herself since her debut. She got her first nickname, the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ on NXT.

Lynch was known as the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ when she started her singles match in the race for the NXT Women’s Championship. The word ‘Lass’ is referred to as a woman in Irish. Thus, she is called out as the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’.

In 2015, Lynch made her main roster debut alongside Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks on RAW. On the main roster, Becky Lynch had a rough start until 2016 when she got drafted to WWE SmackDown. Lynch performed admirably there and eventually became the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion.

In 2018, Lynch got her new nickname ‘The Man‘ after she turned into an anti-hero character. During an interview, Lynch opened up about her nickname ‘The Man’ and revealed how she felt like walking into the guys’ locker room and saying she is the Man now. Through the interview, she supported her character and gave a message that she was going to take over the WWE as the new face.

Before the 2018 survivor series, Lynch got on a brawl with the RAW female locker room. The SmackDown’s female locker room invaded RAW where Becky Lynch got a punch from Nia Jax, which caused bleeding.

Crashing the RAW’s female locker room, Lynch stood tall in the crowd with her face full of blood. After this incident, Lynch resembled herself as ‘Becky Balboa’ as her new nickname.

Lynch’s WrestleMania win

At WrestleMania, Lynch fought in a winner takes all triple threat match. In this match, Lynch resulted in winning both the RAW and SmackDown titles after pinning Ronda Rousey. This was the first-ever WrestleMania female’s main event. This big win gained her new nickname as ‘Becky 2 Belts’. Ahead of her reign as the double champ, she lost her title for the SmackDown Women’s title but held the RAW Women’s title for a long time.

Lynch gave a tough battle on the RAW roster and defended her RAW Women’s Title. During the time, she called herself ‘The G.O.A.T‘. Fans praised her performance on the main roster. At WrestleMania 36, she defended her title against Shayna Baszler and retained it.

Lynch held the RAW Women’s Title for over a year until she announced her pregnancy on RAW following the Money in the Bank PPV. Lynch made her return on SummerSlam 2021, defeating Bianca Belair winning the SmackDown Women’s Title.

Returning to WWE, she gave herself a new nickname for the fans to chant. Recently, WWE filed a trademark of ‘Big Time Becks’ for entertainment purposes. The reason she resembled her as ‘Big Time Becks’ is quite clear.
