Stephanie McMahon took on Ronda Rousey during WrestleMania 34. Even though McMahon has been present in the ring with almost every Superstar some way or another, being in there with Rousey was definitely different.

The primary factory why Ronda Rousey is not like other Superstars is because of her MMA background. McMahon had to push her physical limits to prepare for the match against Rousey. On the other hand, Rousey has competed in the Olympics so to prepare against McMahon was not as stressful. McMahon talks about this iconic match in an interview.

“Getting ready for that match against Ronda was probably the most physically challenging thing i have done in my life. I know she can’t say the same after competing in the Olympics.”

Furthermore, this match was one of the special ones for Stephanie McMahon. First, she had to go in the ring and match upto Ronda Rousey’s athletic abilities. On top of that, this was Rousey’s first match in WWE. McMahon’s roots go through WWE and this match was one of the highlights of her career. Ultimately, she is proud of her performance in the ring.

“To get in there with Ronda and not only physically have to, at least be able to compete at a level enough for her to showcase her athletic abilities but also in her first match in WWE. In the event that my father created alongside my husband [Triple H] who is arguably one of the most iconic Superstars ever in our business and of course a cross from Kurt Angle.”

Rousey first took down Triple H after The Rock thrashed him. Following that she took over McMahon in the ring.
