In an interview with BigBoyTV, the WWE Universal Champion revealed his dream opponent.

“I don’t know man I’ve had so many awesome opponents and like, bucket list checkoffs over the years. I think at this point you know and he already kinda called me out a few months ago, I think Dwayne, you know, The Rock.”

WWE were rooting for this match to take place at WrestleMania 37, but Dwayne Johnson‘s schedule caused the match to be shelved. In front of a raucous Los Angeles crowd, Reigns vs Rock is sure to blow the roof off the SoFi Stadium.

Roman emphasised on how a match of this scale warrants fans in attendance. He said, “I don’t think that ever will work in front of you know, an empty house.”

It would be a shame if WWE wasted this match in the ThunderDome, when it can probably sell out the first ever PPV with full attendance.

The Tribal Chief’s WrestleMania exploits

Roman Reigns will most likely be taking on Edge at WrestleMania 37 at Raymond James Stadium. Edge will most likely join the list of mega-stars that have faced the Tribal Chief at WrestleMania.

Reigns made his WrestleMania debut in 2013 as a part of the Shield. The trio knocked off Randy Orton, Sheamus and the Big Show in the opening match of WrestleMania 29.

The following year, the Shield squashed the New Age Outlaws and Kane. WrestleMania 31 was a big one for the Big Dog, facing the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar in Levi’s Stadium. If not for Seth Rollins’ Heist of the Century, Reigns would’ve been a champion.

Roman won the WWE Championship from Triple H at WrestleMania 32 in front of the largest audience in wrestling history. He topped that monumental win by beating the Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania 33, making him only the second person to beat the Deadman at WrestleMania.

Reigns’ WrestleMania 34 match with Brock Lesnar was a bitter disappointment. Fortunately, he found his form in 2019, beating Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35. After missing WrestleMania 36, Reigns looks to bounce back at this year’s ‘Mania.
