The Rock’s Selfless Gesture Nineteen Years Ago is Still Giving Hope to AEW Superstar

The Rock has been associated with the professional wrestling world for several years. During his massively successful professional wrestling career, he worked with several individuals. One such individual with whom The Rock worked is Alex Abrahantes.

Before becoming a part of AEW TV, Alex worked for WWE’s creative team. While speaking on AEW Unrestricted, Alex Abrahantes recalled the only time he met The Rock. Further, Alex is also hopeful of working with Johnson again following his selfless gesture 19 years ago, i.e. a year after he left WWE.

Abrahantes noted that Brian Gewirtz provided him the opportunity to work with The Rock during his run in his Hollywood persona.

Alex also mentioned prior to that he did not get the opportunity to work with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment was filming for The Scorpion King movie.

He said, “Brian Gewirtz said, ‘You want to do this thing with Rock?’ ‘Yeah!’ I got a chance to hang out with him before we shot it and he was genuinely the nicest human being on Earth.”

Alex added, “I remember specifically, and it resonated so much at the end, him thanking me, and he’s like, ‘We’ll work together someday.’ ‘I hope so.’ ‘No, we will.’ He was so adamant about it. Well, I guess that’s something that’s going to happen someday.” (h/t: Fightful)

Alex showered heavy praise on The Rock during the interview. He admitted The Rock is exactly what we see on Instagram and said, “He’s a guy you can look at and is a true representation of the American dream. Way to go, Dwayne.”

The Rock’s humble and caring nature makes him special. Recently, he wished everyone Happy New Year and asked them to turn the corner in 2022 and make it count. This is not the first time, as the WWE legend had sent out several motivational messages to inspire everyone.
