“The Man in Black Comes to Crush them All”- Dwayne Johnson Announces Exciting News

The excitement has never been higher around the Hollywood career of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The WWE legend commented for the first time on Twitter following the release of the teaser trailer of the movie Black Adam.

3 years after being first linked to the character Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson seems to be ready for the movie. In the twitter post, he expresses his excitement as you can see below.

Black Adam is an anti-hero character that is one of the most popular DC figures of all time. With powers similar to those of Shazam, Black Adam derives his strength from ancient sources, explaining the deep crypts of the modern Superhero’s powers.

“Black Adam has been with me for a very long time,” commented Johnson. “One of the main things I always loved about Black Adam is that he was an anti-hero. I love that he has his own sense of Black Adam justice.”

“I also love the fact that his origins are that of a slave. He felt the burdens and the pressures of a larger entity holding him down until you can’t take it anymore,” explains Johnson.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the perfect pick for the role

Beginning as a slave in 13th century Egypt, Black Adam has to make a lot of sacrifices and take the rocky path to gain his powers. His hardships mould him into the darker character that he is known to be.

Black Adam is apparently almost as powerful as Superman and has harnessed his abilities for thousands of years. The movie is set to be a defining one for DC Comics.

Dwayne Johnson is the perfect pick for the role, as he closely resembles the character. His superhuman physique also makes him a better candidate than most other actors.

We do not know what the movie will be focusing on or if they will start at the very beginning. We do know, however, that it will set the course for future DC movies.

Black Adam serves as a sequel of sorts to Shazam. It will seek to tie up all the loose ends left in Shazam. For example, the movie will explore the origins of Shazam’s powers, which date back to Ancient Egypt and probably farther back.

All we know is that every Dwayne Johnson movie has been a major box office success and we can only expect the same from Black Adam. Johnson also looks spectacular in his superhero suit, and will surely do justice to the role.
