Donald Trump has a long history with Vince McMahon and WWE. Moreover, the former President of the United States of America has made multiple appearances in WWE back in the day. However, there was one instance where WWE booked Trump in a match in the squared circle. But it was not actually him competing in the match.

WWE has often made controversial decisions that have not sat well with the entire WWE Universe. However, back in 2007, on an episode of Monday Night Raw, Vince booked a match where Donald Trump was to face Rosie O’ Donnell. Only it was not them who actually fought, rather it was two impersonators of Donald and Rosie.

Trump and Rosie have a checkered past, to say the least. They were in the headlines for a long time as they made their issues public. Both have spoken their sides of the story and presented strong views against each other. Moreover, it seems like WWE booked the match in the midst of this heated controversy.

It is unclear why Vince McMahon’s company would book this match. The match itself was nothing special. It mostly involved comic elements where the actors tried to push, shove and insult each other. Vince McMahon was also at ringside to watch this match. However, the live crowd in the arena did not seem to like the concept of the match.

Nevertheless, Donald Trump has had some big moments in WWE history where he himself actually appeared instead of an impersonator. For instance, he is a WWE Hall of Famer.

What did Donald Trump do in WWE?

Vince McMahon featured Donald Trump heavily in his programming. Most famously, he actually got in a feud with Trump on TV that ended in a battle between the billionaires at the grandest stage of them all. Vince started a rivalry with Trump on WWE TV where both tried to one-up each other. It got to a point when at WrestleMania 23 in 2007, the two picked fighters of their own to settle the matter in the ring.
