“There’s Charlotte a Star and Then There’s Ronda”: WWE Legend Buried Ronda Rousey’s WWE Reputation by Glorifying Her UFC Status

Things are going upside down for Ronda Rousey, since the day she lost the SmackDown Women’s title to Charlotte Flair. The shocking turn of events happened in the last episode of WWE SmackDown of 2022.

Since then, everyone is ready with their set of opinions behind Rowdy’s loss. One of which is a former WWE manager, Jim Cornette, who broke down the reason for the loss of the three-time WWE Champion.

The statements by one greatest wrestling managers in history might be the roughest of all the comments that the wrestler must have heard after her defeat.

The battle that attracted so much attention was completely an impromptu one. As the actual contender was Raquel Rodriguez. However, The Baddest Woman on the Planet was confronted by The Queen, after she won against Rodriguez. 

Ex-WWE manager’s harsh comments on Ronda Rousey

In one recent episode of Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, the former pro wrestler buries down Rousey’s reputation. However, he also glorified her time in UFC and stated it as the reason behind her current reputation. 

As he said, “If Ronda Rousey did not have the name and reputation that she had from the MMA world or UFC, she wouldn’t be on television. There Charlotte’s a star and then there’s Ronda.”

Further, the podcaster also shed light on the company’s lost desire in pushing Ronda’s run into the roster. He even said, “Hopefully, is this the end of the Rousey experiment?” But he continued and spoke about Rowdy’s lost thirst to be a better wrestler.

Cornette said, “Ronda Rousey wanted to be a wrestler until she got a little taste of it. She wasn’t even a full-time wrestler. The first run, okay. Then she goes to have kids and raise goats. And I’m not even kidding folks, look it up.”

After getting defeated and losing the championship title, the 35-year-old wrestler is in great shock. Suddenly, The Dirtiest Player in the Game turned things upside down for Ronda. Now, fans are looking to have a glimpse of their star but couldn’t find her in this week’s SmackDown. 

On the day when things changed, Flair started with a challenge for an impromptu title match that ended with her pinfall victory over Ronda. Since then, The Nature Girl is boasting about her win whenever possible. A sight that was visible on this week’s SmackDown. 

For Rowdy’s fans, it’s surely a tough time as their idol has been dethroned but never lose hope. Things can change anytime. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
