“Things Fell Into Place for Once” – WWE Veteran Explains How Cody Rhodes Heartbreaking Injury Proved to Be a Boon for His Long Term Goals

One of the biggest returns from last year was the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes, who came back to the WWE after reinventing his image in the business. His story after coming back has always been to reinvent his character from Stardust to a main eventer. But now it has changed to winning the title that his legendary father had never held in his career.

But that is not all. Rhodes is much more than just a challenger at this point for the WWE title. Tearing up the Bloodline is the only way that Rhodes could come close to the title because it has been a challenge for every one of Roman Reigns‘ previous competitors.

So, to make sure that happens, the American Nightmare brought together Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and hope at the crumbling down of the strongest faction in the WWE. With this storyline, WWE has got one more fan with the recent segments at the latest SmackDown, who is a former executive in the company.

Former WWE Executive praises WWE management on including Cody Rhodes in the Bloodline story

On his podcast, the Jim Cornette Experience, the former WWE executive gushed about how amazing WWE put together the recent SmackDown. Going chronologically, Cornette talked about the opening segment from the blue brand. He talked about how well Cody has been included in the story of bringing down the Bloodline.

He said, “It is fitting better than if it would have happened if he’d had the whole last year and the Bloodline thing hadn’t happened. It wouldn’t be as good as it is now. Things fell into place for once. Sometimes the guy gets hurt and ends up better in the long run.”

The inclusion of Rhodes started when there was a chance that Zayn could beat Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber. After that, just last SmackDown, we saw Rhodes close the episode by saving Zayn from the Usos instead of Owens. This directly involved Rhodes in the Bloodline story and made sense, as Rhodes just had a heart-to-heart with Zayn last month.
