At WrestleMania 33, John Cena pulled off a romantic gesture by proposing to Nikki Bella in front of 75,000 fans. Unfortunately, their engagement only lasted a year, and the couple broke up in 2018. The primary reason for the break-up was John Cena not being ready to have kids.

Three years later and both Nikki and John are leading separate happy lives. Married to Shay Shariatzadeh, the sixteen-time World Champion has apparently changed his stance on fatherhood. One would assume Nikki Bella would fume upon hearing this, but the opposite happened.

An insider revealed to Hollywood Life that Nikki Bella had nothing but good wishes for her ex-fiancee and his new spouse. “No matter what decisions John makes, that is his and Shay’s business. Nikki is happy for him and wishes him all the best, she’s happy living her own life.”

“Nikki knows that people change throughout their journey in life and that they make the best decisions based on where they’re at during that point in time. She would never imagine holding something like him changing his mind about having a baby against him and thinks it’s an amazing blessing that would bring such joy to his life, if that’s what he wants.”

This was a class act from Nikki, who is also a mother to an adorable baby boy. She and her fiancee and former Dancing with the Stars partner Artem Chigvintsev welcomed Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev on July 31st, 2020.

Is the Hollywood star more open to being a father now?

It looks like John Cena has a new attitude towards having kids, and maybe the credit goes to his wife. However, the insider who spoke to Hollywood Life has thrown their two cents at that issue as well.

“Now that John is married and has his foothold in Hollywood, the thoughts of starting a family are more of a thing that he has been thinking about. While he was with Nikki, he was at a crossroads. His full-time career with WWE was coming to an end, and he was trying to navigate getting more into obtaining a prescence in TV and movies and starting his second career.”

In an interview with The Sun, Cena claimed, “I’m a little bit older, a bit wiser. I’m realizing there is life and life exists and it’s beautiful — and I think part of that is being a parent, so we’ll see.” As for any issues between Nikki and John, we’re simply glad to hear there are none.
