WWE held the first day of the 2024 Draft last night. An event that had few surprises compared to previous years. Both Raw and SmackDown focused their efforts on retaining their top talent, as well as bringing in a few new faces.

However, it looks like fans are not happy with the way the draft went. And the biggest issue that they have with it? The lack of major superstars being sent to different promotions. Thus making it the most ‘boring’ draft according to them.

The purpose of the Draft is simple. About 100 superstars will be redistributed across the two main brands SmackDown and RAW, with the exception of champions, who cannot be drafted. And while the biggest fear of fans lay in a possible imbalance between both rosters once the event concluded, they surely did not expect the lack of actual drafting it provided.

It surely seems like the WWE decided to play it safe. To make sure the current storylines of the superstars do not get hampered, the WWE decided not to move them altogether. While Roman Reigns voluntarily got his name removed from the draft, Randy Orton, Liv Morgan, and the entire Bloodline remained in the Blue Brand. It would’ve been really fun to see at least one of them being sent to a different brand and see how they would manage to wreak havoc by appearing on the other. So it was no wonder that fans couldn’t help but voice out their disappointment.

Fans show their discontent toward the draft

As soon as tonight’s edition of SmackDown ended, fans stormed social media to share their thoughts on it. And it isn’t surprising to see that several fans have called the Draft unexciting. Here are some of the reactions.

One fan claimed that Triple H surely did not go through the creatives before deciding on the drafts. And instead, he made sure that only the ones without any storylines get shuffled.

Another fan pointed out that the Draft actually did not feature much shuffling of major superstars.

A record has been shattered according to one fan. This edition of the draft has surely become the most boring according to him.

A fan pointed out the lack of enthusiasm in the crowd in attendance tonight. The draft surely did not excite anyone.
