Matthew Perry is no more. The actor in the popular 90’s sitcom ‘Friends’, who played the role of Chandler Bing, has passed away. According to the reports, he died at the age of 54. LA Times was the first news outlet to break this to the media world.

Times reported he was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Saturday when someone went to check on him around 4 PM. The police are still investigating the potential cause of the death. Reports indicate that the potential cause of death was an apparent drowning.

Matthew Perry and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau went to the same school

Perry was born in Massachusetts, on August 19, 1969, to John Bennett Perry and Suzanne Marie Langford. His parents separated when he was just 1. Born in the US, he was raised in Ottawa, Canada. It is interesting to note that he and Justin Trudeau, the 23rd Prime Minister of Canada, attended the same elementary school.

 When Trudeau got the news of his passing, he reacted on X. He expressed how the news shocked him and made him sad. He reminisced about his childhood days with the deceased actor when they used to play schoolyard games. Praising Perry for being a kindly soul, he claimed that he would always remain in people’s hearts.

Kayla Braxton went to her X and Instagram to express her emotions on hearing about the shocking demise of Perry. On her Instagram profile, she shared a TMZ post about the late star’s death and wrote OMG NO! in the caption.

Going to her X, she tweeted: “Omg Matthew Perry!?! What! This is so sad. This feels like a personal loss. 🥺😢” Zoey Stark tweeted, “💔 RIP Matthew Perry” on X. Carmella and Alexa Bliss shared photos of the late star on their IG stories and wrote: 💔💔💔 and “This is beyond sad🥺,” respectively.

Mick Foley shared a photo of Perry on his IG profile and sent his condolences to the family of the deceased. He expressed how much he loved Perry’s character in ‘Friends’. He also let his fans know he has been wearing a ‘Friends’ shirt for the past two days.
