The Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, could be The Rated-R Superstar’s last match. There has been a rumor circulating about it. On the other hand, Edge himself has weighed in on the issue.

Edge sat down with ET Canada for an exclusive interview ahead of the show. His answer is likely to leave his admirers heartbroken.

The WWE Hall of Famer said, “I really really, with 100% truth can say I don’t know. That’s strange for me, but I don’t. I really don’t.”

But he also added one more thing to it. This might help make matters clearer. “This is the last match on my current contract,” The Ultimate Opportunist said.

Edge also revealed that he would not know if this would be his last bout in the WWE until he reached the venue. The 11-time world champion also spoke about the recent changes he has observed about himself.

Edge said he gets anxious and tense before a match, which wasn’t the case with him previously. “That’s strange for me and makes it that much harder to do this… It’s the dream gig, but it’s getting really hard,” he added.

Meanwhile, as this news came out, several Edge fans took to social media to share their views.

Fans refuse to believe Edge’s retirement even as the wrestler remains unsure

A part of the WWE Universe is still optimistic about the Friday night bout being Edge’s last match. This was the sentiment despite the wrestler himself stating that he’s unsure about it.

This user believes both Edge and his fans deserve a proper ceremony for him to hang his boots.

Another one said they would like one of Edge’s iconic rivals, John Cena, to retire the superstar.

After his surprising comeback at the 2020 Royal Rumble, Edge has been part of several acclaimed matches. Considering he’s still going strong, this user questioned the timing of his rumored retirement.

They straight out refused to believe the retirement story that’s going around. This topic started to trend earlier this year after Edge’s interview with Logan Paul was uploaded on YouTube. The 49-year-old had spoken about his future in the business, leading many to believe that he’s on the last lap of his final run.
