Billed as the ‘Road To WrestleMania’, Royal Rumble has been exciting the fans for a long time. The iconic sound of the buzzer, which signifies the entry of a new competitor in the main event match, always adds up to the suspense of the encounter. And WWE legend Ric Flair has recently announced that he will be appearing at the next year’s event.
A return to WWE beckons for the decorated legend
Flair made the announcement on the latest episode of his To Be The Man podcast. He said, “I’m going to be there {Royal Rumble}”.
Ric Flair also confirmed his presence at the Raw 30th Anniversary episode preceding the event. “I have been invited and it’s a f**king big deal. And for all the people out there who go why? Because it’s Raw and it’s a big f**king deal. Hell yeah, are you kidding me? 30 years, you think about that. Remember when Nitro was just going to destroy Raw?” said the Hall of Famer.
The 16-time world champion is no stranger to the event as he won the 1992 Royal Rumble match to clinch the WWE title at the time.

It is unclear in which capacity Ric Flair would appear in the Royal Rumble event next year. But the fans have certainly displayed their preference for a non-wrestling appearance for the iconic performer. Legends such as The Undertaker and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin are expected to appear in the Raw 30th Anniversary episode.
