Jumping from one promotion to another is a frequent practice among modern-day wrestlers. The reason may vary for everyone. Sometimes it may be the desire to explore one’s ability in a more diverse environment or it has to do something with the company’s inability to provide them with their desired place.

The current AEW star, Brayn Danielson, is certainly one among them who is up to test her potential in more than one promotion. He left WWE back in 2021 after having a commendable run with Stanford’s company under his ring name, Daniel Bryan. His win over Triple H with the huge yes’ chants coming from the insane crowd during the opening match of WrestleMania 30 was iconic. It is something that fans love to revisit even after years.

After signing with Tony Khan’s business, the former five-time WWE World Champion didn’t step back from his usual excellence. The 41-year-old dominantly appeared in a draw match against MJF during AEW Revolution earlier this month. But it seems he has some other plans down the line.

There was long-lived speculation of Bryan joining the Japanese promotion even before he came to AEW. Then a few days back, The American Dragon revealed NPJW as his dream promotion. More specifically, he mentioned that he wanted to compete in the prescription G1 Climax tournament. Despite going pretty well with his current run, he had doubts about his status in AEW.

Now the latest promo by NPJW made it even more obvious to the fans that Daniel Bryan found his next stop. The promo shows a scene where a dragon-like face appears. It creates a massive buzz among the fans within seconds.

While there was still no official confirmation from either party about the news, the promo says it all. Doesn’t it?

Why did Daniel Bryan leave WWE?

However, no matter under which promotion he is going to wrestle, Daniel Bryan will always remain special to WWE fans. Bryan earned massive love and attention from the crowd like very few stars in the company’s history. Despite having numerous greatest moments and accolades during his tenure, he eventually lost his spark for working with the company.

No matter how shocking it might sound, he noted in a past interview,’ ‘I felt very out of body in it. When I’m wrestling, I feel everything and feel like I’m enjoying it and I am having fun. This was weird. I was out there and it felt like I was detached.’

The promising AEW star also wanted to move his focus a bit toward his kids. AEW provides him with that opportunity by offering a more flexible schedule than WWE.
