Recreating last year’s euphoric moment would be impossible even if fans were in the Tropicana Field. The reaction from the crowd in Houston’s Minute Maid Park will never be repeated. Over fifty thousand fans were on their feet once they heard the classic ‘You thin you know me’ play on the speakers.

“This year my journey is different. I’m not just happy to be back. I want back what I never lost and it starts this Sunday.” Edge finished third in last year’s Rumble match, eliminated by Roman Reigns. This year might be the year Edge goes the distance for the second time in his legendary career.

Edge is no doubt a favourite to win the Rumble match. Fans touted Randy Orton vs Edge as a potential WrestleMania 37 match, but we might be in for something completely different.

The Rated-R Superstar might look to win some gold at WrestleMania. If he wins, Edge could challenge Drew McIntyre, Goldberg, Roman Reigns, or Kevin Owens for the WWE or Universal Championship. Matches against Reigns or McIntyre would be sensational, as would be a battle with fellow Canadian Kevin Owens, if he wins the Universal Championship.

The odds of Edge winning the thirty-man battle royal aren’t very high, but it would be good for him to have a last nostalgic run. If he wins the Rumble, we could see a potential retirement angle, culminating at WrestleMania. If Roman Reigns retires Edge at WrestleMania, it would definitely be the biggest moment of 2021.
