Throwback: Former WWE Champion Batista Breaks Down in Tears While Paying Tribute to Eddie Guerrero

Today marks the 15th death anniversary of WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest wrestlers, Eddie Guerrero. He was one of the most loved superstars in WWE history.

Tributes came in left, right, and center from WWE superstars. However, one of the most heartfelt and emotional ones came in from fellow SmackDown superstar Dave Batista.

The Animal spoke about how Guerrero taught him many things in the business and in his personal life as well. He also spoke about how Eddie loved entertaining people and going to the ring every day.

Guerrero died at the young age of 38. Back in November 2005, his nephew Chavo Guerrero found him passed out with a toothbrush in hand in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The autopsy revealed Eddie died because of acute heart failure due to underlying atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

The tributes for Eddie Guerrero happened back then, and they still happen to date.

Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio pay tribute to Eddie Guerrero on SmackDown

Tonight on SmackDown, Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio faced each other in a no holds barred match. The bond and friendship shared by Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero is no secret.

Tonight in his match against Rollins, Mysterio did a Viva La Raza taunt as he climbed up to the top rope. Seth Rollins also paid tribute by delivering the three amigos move but failed on two.

Over the last two months, many superstars across promotions gave Eddie Guerrero a tribute. We saw MJF doing it against Chris Jericho at Full Gear and Ricochet against Cedric Alexander a month back on Raw.
