Gable Steveson grabbed a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics last week and made his country proud after becoming the first U.S. heavyweight to win in the men’s freestyle 125kg event since 1992.

Since his winning, many athletes around the world are speculating on his next move in his promising career. Some fans think that the gold medalist will end up in WWE as Kurt Angle did, and some think that he will go and join UFC in the heavyweight division.

Gable Steveson will be in Las Vegas to watch SummerSlam PPV

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Gable said that he’d be heading to Las Vegas, Nevada to witness the main event for that night, which is John Cena against Roman Reigns for the Universal title.

He even kicked his favorite amongst the two, saying that Cena is great, but Roman will walk out the champion

“I’m heading over to Vegas to watch the champ Roman Reigns do his thing. John Cena is great, but he’s still going to have to acknowledge Roman Reigns.”

Now, there’s no secret that both Vince McMahon and Dana White want the heavyweight wrestler to join their company. However, Steveson has given no concrete statement on his next moves.

But chances of Steveson moving to WWE looks more likely. This is because of his genuine interest in the pro-wrestling business and the way he has accomplished the same accolades as Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle. It makes more sense if he chooses WWE.

As noted earlier that Vince McMahon is revamping the dynamics of NXT and the other two brands in his company, it looks like Gable will be a perfect fit. With his amateur wrestling style and strong grapples, WWE could use him in some dream or exhibition match-ups.
