WWE brings out an engaging showdown at the Halloween episode of this week’s Raw ahead of the Crown Jewel PLE next Saturday. The night already turned out to be a memorable one as a lot of drama unfolded, involving top stars and storylines. One of these newfound angles included The Miz finding a new rival in Gunther.

The Missionary Mike put out an edition of his famed Miz TV show on Raw tonight with the reigning Champion Gunther as his guest. The interaction soon went pear-shaped with both the stars launching insults at each other.

The Miz bragged about him being the biggest star in WWE while Gunther mocked him for his clowning antics. The Ring General also showed him his actual position in the promotion. After putting up with some abuse, The Miz fired back, saying Gunther had been a boring act.

He ended up saying, ”I interviewed an invisible John Cena who was more entertaining than you.”

The back and forth between them finally led to The Miz demanding an Intercontinental Championship match against Gunther. However, he didn’t get it granted as Bronson Reed came onto the scene.

Bronson Reed sent a serious threat to Gunther ahead of their match next week

Going forward with the show, it seemed Gunther got double grave threats coming after him post the showdown tonight. Gunther’s boiling segment with The Miz and Imperium led WWE to announce a fatal four-way match involving The Miz, Ricochet, Ivar, and Reed.

Big Bronson Reed already seemed pumped up to take on the Intercontinental Champion on Raw next week. The 35-year-old took to his Twitter to put The Ring General Manager on notice.

He wrote, “I gotta run it back and beat the ring general, beat that GUNT!”

Gunther recently reached the milestone of crossing 500 days as the Intercontinental Champion and scored the record of being the longest-reigning champion in the company, surpassing Honky Tonk. He has defended his titles more times than Roman Reigns did.

After clinching the title from Ricochet in 2022, Gunther has so far defeated a host of opponents like Tommaso Ciampa, Matt Riddle, Shanky, Mustafa Ali, and others.

Now, it will be interesting to see if anyone among the four men advertised for the Raw match next week could be next on the list of his beaten men’s list or not.
