Though fans are still over the moon about Kofi’s phenomenal victory against Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35, he has been totally out of the world title picture since that aforementioned controversial defeat. During a recent interview on the Out of Character podcast, the Ghanaian wrestler recalled how Lesnar’s move during that match helped him financially. “The F5 from Brock, I think a lot of people were surprised with how quickly it happened, you know? I don’t get paid by the hour, so (…) it was the most money I’ve made in the least amount of time, aside from the Rumble last year.”, he explained.

It looked like Kofi tried hard to save himself from elimination, as he did always. He desperately tried to land on the desk chair, but the plan didn’t work out. He fell to the ground instead, missing his spot for two consecutive years.
