WWE Superstar Damian Priest revealed in a recent interview that he nearly provoked WWE Legend Triple H for a match at WrestleMania 37. Damian Priest is one of the most talented wrestlers in WWE. The American is currently backed up with a push from the WWE officials as he recently became the new WWE US Champion.

In the process of becoming the US Champ and defending it, he beat former WWE champions Drew McIntyre and Sheamus.

Damian Priest reveals he nearly compelled Triple H to have a match at WrestleMania 37

The WrestleMania 37, held in the Raymond James Stadium, was a massive coup for WWE. The PPV brought the fans back in large numbers, which was essential for the brand. WWE’s grandest show was stocked with brilliant matches, surprises, and celebrity appearances.

WWE Superstar Damian Priest also found a spot in the WrestleMania match card as he was tagged with famous pop artist Bad Bunny as the duo faced The Miz and John Morrison. Priest and Bunny had a splendid night as the duo gained victory over Miz and Morrison.

In a recent interview with Metro, Priest revealed how he nearly provoked WWE legend Triple H to have a match with him at WrestleMania 37. Damian added- “I was like, ‘I mean, did you bring your gear? Because you can have a match, I’m right here!’

“He started laughing and said, ‘You’re on a list of people that have asked me that.’ I was like, I bet, I can imagine–he gets it all the time by guys being like, ‘Hey you wanna work? You wanna wrestle?'”

Hunter staying away from in-ring competition

The COO of WWE Triple H hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 35, where he ended up victorious against Batista and subsequently retired him for good. Hunter has also stayed away from making unnecessary TV appearances. It’s always a dream for talents like Damian Priest to have a match with a legend like Triple H. But it looks like Priest has to wait a little longer to step into the ring with The Game.

However, Damian Priest is certainly busy defending his US title in the last few weeks. He won the title from Sheamus at Summerslam in an impressive display.

The Archer of Infamy also ended up pinning Drew McIntyre recently, earning McIntyre’s respect in the process. The duo shook their hands in the middle of the ring after the match.

Now Priest will defend his US title against the former holder of the title at Extreme Rules PPV.
