Top WWE Superstars Get Into Heated Backstage Altercation After SmackDown Goes Off Air

In the pro-wrestling business, with the immense stardom, there comes a thought about “not appearing weak in front of the audience”. The same thought has crossed the mind of multiple times WWE Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair. This recently led to a heated backstage confrontation between her and Becky Lynch after SmackDown went off the air last night.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair exchanged their respective WWE Women’s title as they will now perform on different brands than they used to. However, the title exchange did not go according to plan and led to a backstage altercation between the two.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair engaged in a verbal altercation

Both the superstars were set to exchange their titles in a backstage segment on last night’s WWE SmackDown. However, according to PWInsider, there was a backstage confrontation between Lynch and Flair following their title exchange.

During the Championship Exchange segment, there was a moment where Flair had to hand the belt to Lynch. However, Flair pulled it away and threw the belt on the mat, which was not the initial plan.

Lynch also adopted the same course of action when Sonya Deville asked for Becky’s title, ‘The Man’ threw her title belt at Flair, which was not in the script.

The real reason it happened

The reason both the female superstars went off the script and produced this uncalled-for confrontation was that ‘The Queen’ said she didn’t want to look weak, nor did she want her title reign to look weak during the segment.

PWInsider confirmed that Flair complained that Lynch was deliberately trying to make ‘The Queen’ look weak.

We know these superstars share a long history of going back and forth with each other, and with Survivor Series we might see these two superstars face off once again.
