WWE has made a lot of changes in their team both in front of and behind the scenes by order of Vince McMahon. Superstars have been laid off as well as some of the backstage crew.
The COVID-19 pandemic has dented WWE RAW’s viewership ratings. It suffered a 23% drop, from 2.33 million to 1.77 million viewers in just 3 months.
Losing his patience with the running of RAW, Vince McMahon decided to restructure RAW. Paul Heyman was also fired from his position as the Executive Director of RAW.

Now, WWE’s lead writer was also fired as part of the restructuring. The writer, Chris DeJoseph took to Twitter to vent out his frustration.
After ten years away wasn’t really into giving my life to the unpredictable whims of one person. But I believe in @bruceprichard and his vision.

A sense of relief seems to blanket DeJoseph following his sacking. His words hint at a lot of tension behind the curtains of the WWE Universe.
Vince McMahon has been known to be a very determined man. It is evident from this tweet that he sometimes steps all over the place and disregards the writers’ works.
“The unpredictable whims of one person” is a direct target to McMahon. It means that Vince McMahon employs writers but in the end, does whatever he wants.

The chairman has a huge impact on storylines in WWE. There are sometimes that McMahon goes against his team’s suggestions. At the end of the day, it is he who decides which wrestler gets the push.
DeJoesph may be implying that McMahon is his own person and does not give much importance to what the crowds or what his own team of writers tells him. Instead, he does what he wants and promotes who he likes.
However, he does have faith in the new executive Director of RAW- Bruce Prichard
Vince McMahon has always been a very authoritative leader
DeJoseph tweeted again the same hour, obviously meaning that he escaped a sticky situation. The rapidly declining ratings of RAW and SmackDown mean that the writers are looking to face a lot of hard days soon enough.
Totally dodged a bullet. #Raw #SmackDownOnFox

The work will just be piling-up and whoever remains will have to face the wrath of McMahon on a daily basis.
DeJoseph must be thankful that he busted out of the burning house before it all came raining down on him.
Many people may think that he is acting salty after losing his job, but do his words have truth in them?
