Vince McMahon’s request for a major interview was once rejected

After ruling the entire pro wrestling business for nearly a decade, WWE found itself in a situation in the early 90s. The company’s reputation suffered a lot when Vince McMahon was slated for a steroid trial. Prichard on the latest episode of Something to Wrestle recalled the prosecutor ignoring to talk with McMahon.

Prichard said, “Vince, we knew the indictment was coming, we just didn’t know when. Vince had actually gone down to the federal prosecutor’s office and tried to talk to her and say, ‘Hey, here I am. Do you want to interview me? You want to ask me questions? You want to talk to me? Let’s do it. I’m standing here right now. Would you please can we set up an appointment? Can we talk now?’”

He added, “And the prosecutor refused to meet with Vince, refused to set up a time and or an appointment to talk to Vince about these alleged charges that they were working up against him. Now, the sheriff’s Buck could go talk to everybody else. But they didn’t want to talk to the guy that they were accusing them of all this sh*t.”
