In an interview with Ryan Satin, Triple H talked about the signing of Wentz and Xavier.

“When you’re looking at talent – there’s always talent that are out there – and you have to look past where they are, what they’re doing, how they’ve gotten to where they are, what sort of exposure or kind of information they’ve been given.(H/T Fox Sports)

“Did they just figure it out on their own? Or is someone helping guide them? All those things. They’ve figured out personality and charisma. They’ve figured out the in-ring style they have and made it their own. I’m a big fan of that. I’m excited to see what they can do now and when you meet them, they’re really great guys that are humble and hungry and looking for that opportunity.

“When I meet kids like them where they are so passionate about this and want it so bad. Man, they just want that opportunity and then if you give them that opportunity, ‘I’m gonna run through a brick wall and I’m going to prove to you.’”

Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz are icons of the independent scene

Triple H’s opinion of the two new signees is quite accurate. Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz began teaming with each other for the first time on the independent circuit in 2015. They were later joined by Trey Miguel in 2018 and became known as the Rascalz.

Wentz and Xavier are former Combat Zone Wrestling Tag Team Champions and former PWG Tag Team Champions. They have been featured heavily on Impact Wrestling. Unfortunately, their popularity in Impact did not materialise into a tag team title reign.

In their final match on Impact, Trey Miguel teamed up with Impact Wrestling World Champion Rich Swann to take on his stablemates Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz. The match was quick paced, laced with smooth and intricate wrestling. Swann picked up the win for his team, as Impact said goodbye to one of its most talented teams.
