Sasha Banks, currently known as Mercedes Mone, left WWE last year over creative differences. She has since made appearances for NJPW, Impact Wrestling, and recently AEW All In. However, her recent appearance for AEW All-In caused major tensions within WWE.

Only within 9 days of her AEW appearance, WWE decided to erase all legacy of Sasha Banks from WWE. Including an iconic moment from her and Bayley’s career, leading to a major backlash from the fans on social media.

The current leader of Damage CTRL Bayley underwent a massive and shocking heel turn 5 years ago in 2018. An iconic moment in her career, it saw her undergoing a complete revamp in her character, leading to one of the most iconic heel turns.

Prior to that, Bayley had always been a babyface. However, influenced by her friend Sasha Banks, Bayley would undergo a heel turn. She would attack Becky Lynch and destroy her with rapid chair shots. WWE recently took to their social media profile and uploaded a snippet of Bayley’s heel turn.

However, they instead chose to crop out Banks from the footage after her AEW appearance. Fans did not take this action lightly and chose to show their anger against the promotion due to their petty behavior.

An iconic moment of both Bayley and Banks’ career, this edited video footage deleted a revolutionary moment of their career. Banks influenced Bayley’s heel turn and deleting this footage meant erasing an important section of context.

The fans did not take lightly to this action of WWE and rallied against it.

Mercedes Mone fka Sasha Banks’s recent appearance at AEW All In in London did not sit well with the WWE uppers. And, all evidence and legacy of Banks was decided to be deleted from the promotion. Fans soon noticed this change in the video WWE uploaded and chose to react against it.

A fan claimed that WWE has never been about wrestling, and money would remain their primary focus.

Another fan claimed that WWE was afraid of showing Mercedes Mone on their screen.

One fan criticized WWE for their usual pettiness of deleting footage of ex-WWE superstars.

While Sasha Banks is now away from WWE trying her hands at other promotions, Bayley is currently the leader of Damage CTRL. Her associate Iyo Sky is the current Women’s World Champion, and the WWE Universe might soon possibly witness Bayley turn against Sky.
