“It’s hard to put into words, it was a dream of mine coming to America. To become the first-ever British Heavyweight Champion,” says McIntyre.

“The big plan is, I’m getting an open-top bus. I’m gonna start at the top of Scotland. I’m gonna make my way down through everywhere, all the way to the bottom of England, all the way to the cliffs of Dover,” explains McIntyre.
“I’ll pick up Tyson Fury on the way. We’ll figure out how we’re gonna set up this big match and get this big UK pay-per-view going and it’s gonna be a heck of a ride. That’s gonna happen 100%.”
Drew McIntyre longs to perform in front of a home crowd
Drew McIntyre is the first-ever British WWE Champion. This is quite an accomplishment considering that he was competing with the best.
The British Bulldog, William Regal, Wade Barrett and more failed to achieve what McIntyre has.

He has been constantly pitted against British Boxer Tyson Fury, who is a national hero himself. McIntyre assures fans that this dream match will soon become a reality.
“I think BT Sport might be on board with it. If they’re not, that’s the plan BT Sport. I would do whatever it takes to get the UK that big pay per view we’ve not had since SummerSlam ’92,” says McIntyre.

“It’s been so long, the fan base has been so loyal, so passionate. It would absolutely be a huge success. And if it takes McIntyre-Fury as the main event to get everybody who’s not a wrestling fan to pay attention, then I’m all about it.”
We are absolutely stoked for this matchup. There’s isn’t a doubt that all WWE UK fans will be waiting for the official announcement to be made.
