Ronda Rousey is known to be one of the most feared opponents, whether it was in the UFC or currently in WWE. She has always stepped in the ring or the octagon to win the match. Surprisingly, once The Baddest Woman lost to an opponent who does not have a sports background.

A couple of years back in the year 2020, Ronda Rousey appeared on the CBS show Game On! There she faced American singer Demi Lovato in the loudest tennis grunt challenge. The show host Keegan-Michael Key measured the decibels with a device they had.

By the end of the challenge, the final score of the Rowdy One was 99.7 decibels. While everyone thought Rousey, who has won 12 consecutive UFC fights, won the challenge, Lovato had a secret weapon in her pocket.

She won the challenge with a score of 110.1 decibels. Lovato scored the winning shot yelling, “’Lovatics, let me hear you scream!’”

Demi Lovato was that week’s guest contestant on Team Venus. Tennis player Venus Williams, which also included stand-up comedian Ian Karmel, led the team.

On the other hand, Ronda Rousey was a guest contestant of team Gronk, which was led by the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Rob Gronkowski. Also, their team included improv comic Bobby Lee.

Even though Rousey lost the round, her team made sure to make it up. Team Gronk won after the final contest and as per stipulation, they were allowed to pick a punishment for Team Venus.

Therefore, the punishment was for Rousey to put a member of the Team under her iconic move ‘arm-bar’. Ronda finally settled on Ian Karmel. She pulled his arm hard, making him tap the floor and scream as the rest of Team Rob pretended to jump on him.

Demi Lovato says Ronda Rousey motivated her to start Jiu Jitsu training

Popular American singer Demi Lovato also trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She told shared the same while appearing on the same episode. Moreover, she credited former UFC fighter Ronda Rousey to inspire her to take up BJJ.

Lovato said, “Honestly, I fell in love with the sport watching you (points towards Ronda Rousey). So I saw a Jiu Jitsu instructor and started training and so I just keeping up now.”

Upon hearing this statement from Lovato, the host quickly turned towards the Rowdy One to say, ‘You are her inspiration.’ Rousey was clearly blushing upon being praised to be the motivation for Lovato.

Further, the singer also claimed that she is a blue belt now in the sport. Ronda Rousey would be proud to be the reason for someone to start something new and achieve success in the same.
