Conor McGregor is or was known for his horrifyingly accurate match predictions for his own bouts as it always turned out to be as described. However, challenging him in recent times is former WWE Champion CM Punk, who has gained attention from the MMA fanbase for his predictions on key fights.

‘The Best in the World’ may not have had the best career in MMA and it was cut short after embarrassing displays in the octagon. Although, when it comes to plotting the outcome of events, Punk has proved to be spot on.

When the world expected Conor McGregor to run over Dustin Poirier as he did in 2014, CM Punk tweeted his prediction that the latter would win in ‘crazy fashion’. That turned out to be true and this time, ‘The Notorious One’ crashed to the canvas in his first-ever TKO loss!

“Well, it doesn’t happen often, but I do have the occasional dream and I’m not making this up. The morning Khabib fought Gaethje, I woke up from a dream where I was like, Khabib by triangle,” Punk said, speaking on My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox. “And I didn’t tweet it just because it was just like one of those things, and the same thing happened with Poirier and Conor.”

CM Punk backs Michael Chandler against Charles Oliveira for UFC 262

Apart from that wild prediction, Punk has let loose another one ahead of UFC 262. This time, he has sided with Michael Chandler, who is set to face Charles Oliveira in a fight that could send him to the next level.

“He’s an amazing kickboxer. I think people think of him as a Jiu-Jitsu guy, but he’s really not like, he’s so well-rounded. I gotta go Chandler, you know, that’s my official prediction,” Punk said.

The former WWE Superstar believes that momentum is the most important thing heading into any Mixed Martial Arts contest and thinks that Chandler’s form right now could lend him the advantage over Oliveira.

For that matter, Conor McGregor will be seeing Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 for the highly anticipated trilogy to settle their history once and for all. The Irishman hopes to complete his comeback with the same brutality heading into his fight with “Cowboy” Cerrone.
