Rousey released her autobiography in the year 2015 called My Fight/ Your Fight. In her book, she revealed the dark secrets of her past and how she became the most dominant female athlete. The book helped Rousey to open up and face her fears, which she never shared before with anyone.
She stated that the darkest time of her life it was when her father committed suicide. Ronda said, “None of us were the same after that,” the former UFC fighter almost never talks about the death of her father because it was such a formative moment in her life.
The event that changed Ronda Rousey’s life
In her book, she opened up about her emotions at the time of the demise of her father. “I never wanted to be in the situation where I’ve told the story so many times that I become detached from it and don’t cry,” wrote Rousey.

In the same year of his father passing away, she discovered something surprising about her mother, which changed her life forever. Rousey found out that her mother, AnnMaria De Mars, was a sixth-degree black belt in judo. In 1984, she became the first American to win the world judo championship.

This shocking revelation changed the life of Ronda Rousey, and she never looked back on her past. She went on to set a record in judo like her mother by becoming the first American to win an Olympic medal in sports. Later, she retired from judo and trained herself for MMA. Despite the sports being not considered a mainstream platform, she went on to make a name for herself and MMA.
