WWE may have taken a shot at UFC on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw that aired earlier today. Dolph Ziggler was seen mimicking an MMA fighter at RAW Underground. The question is- did you notice it?
During his match against Erik of the Viking Raiders, Ziggler caught his opponent in a Sleeper hold. As Erik struggled to break free, Ziggler was seen poking him in the eye with his thumb!

If this sounds too familiar, a similar incident occurred on UFC 252 last night. Daniel Cormier took on the UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic for the belt.
During the heated match, Miocic apparently poked Cormier in the eye. While this moment wasn’t quite seen on live TV, Cormier mentioned it in a post-match interview.

The match highlights were then replayed and then it was seen clear as day that one of Miocic’s fingers landed straight into the eye of Cormier.
Daniel Cormier lost vision in one eye due to this poke
The beaten former Champion claimed that this eye-poke made him lose vision in that eye throughout the rest of the fight. He eventually lost his focus and was beaten by Miocic.
After this match, a disappointed Cormier called it on his 10-year long career at UFC. While there has been a lot of speculation linking him to a WWE move, Cormier may already be subject to Ziggler’s trolling.
WWE probably planned this scene
“The Showoff” intentionally poked his thumb into Erik’s eye, in front of the camera. On most days, I’d call it a by-chance. But so soon after the eye-poke controversy at UFC 252?

Coincidence? I think not. This may very well have been planned. However, we can’t really say. Eye-poking is something WWE has become obsessed with off-late.
Seth Rollins has practically personalized the entire thing. Since Raw Underground bares a close resemblance to UFC, it’s still a debate. Taking all things into consideration, WWE probably did take a poke at UFC here (no pun intended).
