The WWE draft has become an exciting event for fans and wrestlers alike. Fans get to see different pairings of superstars colliding with each other for the first time. Superstars get to be on different sets and make a different circle whenever the crew shifts from one show to another. But the best one has to be when NXT stars get their due and enter the main roster.

While the draft is a fun event, the most hectic things happen backstage which can sometimes lead to employees feeling stressed out. This is exactly what happened to the WWE legend who returned after a long time to WWE.

WCW legend reveals backstage troubles during 2019’s WWE draft

Talking about the draft and everything behind the stage, Eric Bischoff spilled all the beans in the latest episode of Strictly Business. First Bischoff talked about how hard it will be for Triple H and Vince McMahon to walk on a thin line with the WWE draft.

When Bischoff arrived at WWE in 2019, it was already late in the draft decisions process. So, while they did give him some time to adjust to his new desk, everything went into chaos.

He continued, “I had no idea who my writing team was, I had no idea who was going to be on my roster and it changed every single day. Every time we had a meeting with Vince, it would change and continue to change right up until I think a day or two before the premiere on Fox. So it was a very very stressful time.

Throughout the wrestling industry, McMahon is considered to be a perfectionist. Not only does he meticulously look over at every single thing in the show, as mentioned by Bischoff, but he also is a person who corrects everything that goes on TV.

With Triple H also calling shots in the creative process now, it must have been easier for McMahon to not be involved in every decision this time. But the draft is over now, so did both companies get top stars on their show? Let’s see.

Will USA Network and Fox be happy with the recent draft?

With their first pick, SmackDown drafted Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, the biggest players in WWE right now. With the Tribal Chief on their show, Fox will be very happy. But that isn’t everything, even the Raw Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair is on SmackDown. If that wasn’t enough, Edge, Rey Mysterio with the entire LWO, and Bobby Lashley also became part of the blue brand.

On the RAW side, USA Network has arguably the biggest babyface in the wrestling business today, Cody Rhodes. Add to that another heel faction making noise, The Judgement Day is also in the show. Raw also drafted Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, Ronda Rousey, and the tag champions, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

From the outside looking in, it looks like Vince McMahon and Triple H did a good job with the recent draft decisions. But only time will tell if the networks will be happy with this result.
