Roman Reigns is making it clear no one can carry the heel persona quite like him. The Universal champion couldn’t care less if the crowd is present in the area or not, he’s gonna do what he feels like. Even if it means showing the finger to the crowd.

This Friday Night SmackDown marked the first event for WWE to host a live audience for Friday Night since the pandemic struck at the Toyota Center.

And Vince McMahon welcomed the crowd in a typical McMahon way, saying “Where the hell have you been?” and made his way backstage.

Roman Reigns and The Usos went head to head against Edge and The Mysterios (Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio) in a 6-man tag team match. The Mysterios and Edge gave a stellar to put the Samoan family to rest but were unsuccessful.

After the match concluded, a brawl broke down between all the six superstars where Edge managed to send ‘The Tribal Chief’ a strong message by hitting him with a spear and used a steel rod from the steel chair which he used earlier in the brawl against Reigns’ face while putting him in a Crossface.

After Edge stood tall after the brawl, SmackDown went off air for the commercial break. During the break Reigns was making his way back, that’s when he gave a brief look at the crowd and then flipped his finger while still walking, a fan-recorded video is circulating the internet spotting The Tribal Chief doing the deed.

Roman Reigns will defend against Edge at MITB

Reigns have certainly established himself with a legitimate threat on the roster. This heel persona is just suiting him and he backs it up while some overt-the-top performances inside the ring.

Edge and Reigns faced off earlier this year at WrestleMania 37 in a triple threat match with Daniel Bryan being the third superstar in the match-up. Roman pinned both the wrestlers at the same time in an iconic fashion.
