Paul Heyman said “Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants”. Little did the WWE Universe know that this is exactly how it was going to be back in 2019.

Back in 2019, everyone was looking forward to the Money in the Bank ladder match. It included a mix of Superstars who had previous Money in the Bank experience and others who didn’t.

The participants were supposed to be Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Finn Balor, Ali, Andrade, Ricochet, Baron Corbin, and Sami Zayn.

However, when Zayn was supposed to enter, he was nowhere to be found. A spot opened up, and Brock Lesnar came out to the arena. This was an absolute shock for everyone. Nobody knew Lesnar was supposed to be at the event, let alone in the match.

The ‘Beast’ snatched the Money in the Bank ladder match victory and along with it came the contract to challenge any champion at any time.

Did Brock Lesnar intentionally hurt Sami Zayn?

The idea was that Zayn would be the last one to come out at Money in the Bank 2019. However, he was found backstage, hanging upside down, unconscious, and with legs tied together. Nobody exactly knew what happened, but The Beast obviously had a hand in it.

It’s possible Lesnar wanted the Money in the Bank contract, and he took Zayn’s position. In order to do that, he had to ensure Zayn did not turn up for the ladder match. Hence, he may have attacked Zayn and trapped him upside down before making his way to the ring.

On the other hand, it could be Braun Strowman who attacked Sami Zayn. It so happened that Strowman was supposed to be a part of the ladder match.

However, Zayn replaced him, which infuriated the Monster Among Men. It’s possible he was the one who attacked Zayn, and Lesnar took that opportunity to become a part of the ladder match.
