Edge returned to WWE during the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown. We had not seen Edge on the blue brand of WWE for a few weeks since his latest match with Seth Rollins.

Unfortunately for Edge, he had lost the match against Rollins and had to be carried off on a stretcher after the match. However, his rivalry with Seth Rollins seems far from over. A few weeks ago, Rollins told Edge to show up again so that he can finish him by battling him one last time before he moves on.

‘The Rated R’ superstar is not one to back down and when he appeared on SmackDown this week, he called out Rollins. However, Rollins had some other plans, as he was nowhere near the arena but was actually at Edge’s house in Asheville.

When Edge saw Rollins at his home, he immediately called his wife and asked her to go to his brother’s house. Not only that, but he also told her that Daniel and David are on their way.

Vince McMahon does not care

Daniel and David are AEW superstars–Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. Besides being AEW superstars, they are also Edge’s real-life friends.

Now, considering the rivalry going on between WWE and AEW, it raised a few eyebrows when Edge mentioned the name of two AEW stars on SmackDown.

Soon after this incident, Ringside News reported that a source within WWE told them that the fact that Edge mentioned names of AEW stars did not bother the WWE management.

A WWE source reportedly said, “no one backstage cared. Not Vince McMahon, Bruce Prichard, John Laurinaitis, or Kevin Dunn.”

AEW has been challenging WWE and Vince McMahon for quite some time now. So, Edge taking the names of the AEW stars on SmackDown was shocking, but after all, they are his friends.

Edge Gets Drafted to Monday Night Raw

The Night One of the WWE Draft 2021 took place during the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown. We saw some big superstars and even champions switching brands. Edge was one of them.

The red brand of WWE picked the Rated-R superstar in the 2nd round of the Draft.
