The circumstances of the release of Aleister Black were very unfortunate. Having only recently returned to SmackDown, the former NXT Champion found his way out of the company. For that, Black deserved an apology, and he indeed got one from Vince McMahon.

Vince McMahon apologises to released superstar

Vince McMahon’s opinion in the eyes of the internet wrestling community worsened after the releases. Former champions like Braun Strowman, Buddy Murphy, Aleister Black and up-and-coming talent like Lana and Ruby Riott annoyed many fans.

As for Aleister himself, he put out statements on social media that he wasn’t angry but grateful. A reason for his gratefulness could have been a phone call and apology from Vince himself, as he revealed on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette.

“I had a conversation with Bruce Prichard and Vince (McMahon) that lasted about 30-45 minutes,” said Aleister Black. “It was a long talk – but it was a good talk. Again, full of praise, complimenting my ability to be honest with them whilst being respectful and just saying how much he respected my creative thought process.”

“And he also understood that there were things during my time in the main roster that did not go the way he wanted it to go, and he said, ‘I’m sorry for that, I apologize. Let’s do it this way. I’m going to send you home for a bit, we’re going to get some separation between you and Kevin Owens and when you come back, we’re off to the races.'”

What’s next for Tommy End?

After his release, Black bid adieu to his WWE character and revived his name from the independent scene. We will now witness Tommy End return to the independent scene and rise once again to his former glory. End even wrestled one match in WWE under this name against Neville [Pac] in the United Kingdom.

AEW is the first name that comes to people’s minds when we discuss released wrestlers’ futures. End won’t just thrive in AEW, but he can quickly rise to the top of the mountain. His run in WWE has made many fans of his wrestling style, and his persona is one fans can relate to easily.

New Japan is another destination for Tommy End, especially with his hard-hitting background. Only someone like KENTA or Minoru Suzuki can match End’s striking game, and those are two dream matches we’d love to see. The opportunities are endless from him, but each one promises a ton of excitement.
