Vince McMahon is a different person when it comes to showcasing a superstar. There are a lot of WWE Superstars who try to be on the main roster. They try to push themselves so that they could be the next face or highlight their reign in WWE.

Vince McMahon gives his best to make the storyline thrilling and much exciting for the WWE Universe. Superstars make themselves worthy of setting a benchmark for everyone in the journey of the wrestling industry.

One such superstar is Mustafa Ali who showed his best in intense matches. His high-flying moves make him more impressive.

His WrestleMania Match with Cedric Alexander is marked as his career’s best highlight for him. During the match, he amazed John Cena with his Spanish Fly move.

Mustafa Ali recalls his experience with Vince McMahon

During a recent interview with Metro, he recalled his experience of talking with Vince McMahon in his office about his on-screen performance. He explained, even before the pandemic, he attempted to maintain his television presence. After spending seven months, he returned to RAW.

Further, he stated that his in-ring performance was lagging somewhere so to address that he went to Vince’s office. He said,” I went up to Vince McMahon himself and said, ‘What am I missing?’ [He said], ‘Too polished, too clean, too nice, I don’t know if you have it in you!’”

Vince’s words fired Ali. He asked Vince to put him on the main event where he could slowly turn himself into a heel through his matches. He said, “I’ll still be presented as a babyface, I’ll still come out with the same look, I’ll still shake the guy’s hand at the end of the matches,” Ali said in his pitch to McMahon.

“But there’s a moment in the match where I’ve just had enough. And I did it! If you go back and watch these Main Event matches before I was revealed as the leader of RETRIBUTION, those were actually me auditioning to turn heel.”

During the time of Retribution, Ali proved to be the heel. A year before, he revealed himself as the leader of Retribution.
