In a recent interview, WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T expressed his views on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson buying XFL from Vince McMahon. Turns out, he had a lot to say on the topic.
A few hours ago, the world was put on notice when Dwayne Johnson acquired XFL along with RedBird Capital. This football league under Johnson has the potential of rising through the ranks and standing alongside the NFL. Booker T thinks that this move is pure genius.

“Nah man, it’s a hell of a business investment, a hell of a business move,” remarks Booker. “To be able to purchase it you know, I know he’s got partners but to be able to purchase it in a time like this right now when COVID is going on but not being in the same position as Vince McMahon was with his partners as far as everything going, paychecks going out and nothing to do at the same time.”

XFL was the brainchild of WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon. He tried starting this league as a funnel for his love for football.
However, he tried twice, once in 2001 and the second, earlier this year. He didn’t taste the same success as WWE in either venture.
Booker T thinks that The Rock will profit a lot from his decision
This year was supposed to be a breakout for XFL. Unfortunately, the pandemic rammed right into McMahon’s train, which subsequently resulted in XFL falling short of requirements again.

While many criticize this move, Booker T explains how the decision could result in major profits.
“Now with the purchasing of XFL, being able to let it sit on the sideline, letting everything come back to play and then restarting, and restart big. Man! What an idea,” says Booker. “And what a coup to be able to pick that up for what, 15 million Dollars?”

With my trail blazing partner @DanyGarciaCo & Red Bird Capital, we have acquired the XFL.
With gratitude & passion I’ve built a career with my own two hands and will apply these callouses to our @xfl2020 brand.

“It’s big for The Rock. Big ups to My brother for literally setting up the bar and saying, ‘Hey! Now we finna do it,’ at a totally ‘nother level,” says Booker. “I appreciate that because he’s giving so many other young people inspiration that he’s inspiring right now. He’s definitely like a trailblazer right now and I’d give him nothing but the most power that I can from the bottom of my heart to say, ‘Brother, keep pushing, and keep doing it big. I love it.’”
