Vince McMahon had been running the WWE universe for 40 years, before his sudden retirement in July 2022. McMahon has chosen many talents from all around the world for his promotion. But the one talent, in particular, gave McMahon a hard time. From his laid-back attitude in his initial days to his thick foreign accent, Mr. McMahon had to put a lot of work into this superstar.

The Chosen One of Vince McMahon, Drew McIntyre, is currently the crowd-puller for the WWE promotion. But it took him a long time to be the Baby Face of the company. Keeping the fact in mind that McIntyre was an outsider in America. It’s hard for an interloper in America to stand out among so many talents and especially in pro wrestling, where the competition is fierce.

But McIntyre never faltered and became The Chosen One, and Vince McMahon had a big helping hand behind it. The 37-year-old superstar revealed how Vince McMahon helped him in his initial days with his thick accent. While talking to Chris Van Vliet, McIntyre spoke about how he reinvented himself and the role of Vince McMahon, behind his accent.

[…] I had to really work on it to the point where Vince McMahon told me when I was 24 you know, ‘we’re gonna have to get you elocution lessons, Drew’ after I gave him this passionate speech.”
