

There wasn’t a bigger star in the wrestling industry than Stone Cold Steve Austin. The man was everywhere during the height of his career in the ’90s. His iconic ‘What?’ chants and 3:16 is still celebrated widely among audiences even to this day. But one aspect of his wrestling career that no one could replicate was the beer bashes.
After the main event match or segment, Austin would crack open cans of beer with the superstar in the ring. He would go on to the audience’s section and crack open some more cans with them and celebrate the closing of an episode of Raw. Things were crazy back then, but the laws were the same, so Austin got Vince McMahon into more trouble by over-extending his beer bashes.

While sitting down with Forbes for his new A&E show, Austin answered a lot of questions for the magazine. From his take on modern wrestling to his favorite TV shows. But one thing that caught the attention was when Austin talked about the beer bashes during his Attitude era moments.

He said, “Oh man, the beer bashes are great! That’s the showbiz aspect of it. And what I liked about the Beer Bash stuff was—a lot of times when Raw went off the air, I kept on going. And several times we built up, or I built up, huge fines for Vince because of overtime in those union cities.”

One of the most iconic ones has to be the WrestleMania X-7 beer bash. Austin, despite being the fan-favorite turned heel and aligned with Vince McMahon at the end of the PPV and they shared a beer at The Rock’s expense.
Then, there was the beer bash where Austin brought a truck filled with beer to the ring soaking everyone in the ring. Austin’s recent return to wrestling at WrestleMania 38 also made for a great beer bash. He delivered a stunner to Kevin Owens, Austin Theory, Pat McAfee, and Vince McMahon, in just two days and shared a beer with all of them as well.
