Vince McMahon’s Handpicked WWE Star Hints at Showdown Against John Cena in the Summer

John Cena is one of the most popular WWE stars of all time. The former WWE Champion has inspired several individuals and some even consider him their idol. WWE Raw Superstar Theory is one such individual who got inspired by John Cena.

Some days ago, Theory and Cena had some interactions on social media. Also, there have been rumors recently about John Cena’s WWE return. Ever since then, fans started talking about a Cena vs Theory match for WWE SummerSlam 2022.

During an interview with the New York Post, the interviewer recalled and noted that Theory has grown up loving Cena. Further, the interviewer asked him what would it mean to him if he gets the rumored SummerSlam match against John Cena.

Theory said, “It just takes words out of my mouth, because I think when that moment happens and I’m in the ring with John Cena, man, I don’t know what to say.”

“I have no idea just because, like you’re saying and the way you spoke about it, I clearly know what it was like for me growing up watching John, just the story there and how much we’d actually have for a story. I see it happening for sure,” he added.

John Cena has also spoken highly of Theory on social media. Thus, it will be interesting to see if the former WWE Champion gives ‘The Rising Star’ his dream match upon his return to WWE.

As of now, there has been no official information about Cena‘s WWE return. But there are rumors that ‘The Prototype’ might return before WWE SummerSlam 2022 and also competed at the Premium Live Event.

When did John Cena last compete inside the squared circle in WWE?

John Cena is one such individual that most WWE fans love to see in action in WWE. But he is also a Hollywood superstar. Thus, he has been absent from WWE television for some months now.

His last televised match took place at WWE SummerSlam 2021 against Roman Reigns. After going toe-to-toe with the Tribal Chief, Cena ultimately lost in the end.
