Vince McMahon and company surprisingly fired a handful of superstars this week in their latest round of budget cuts. The names released included the likes of John Morrison and Hit Row. And before these firings, WWE fired over a dozen superstars, which had former world champions as well.

However, it looks like Vince McMahon is keen to keep hold of one superstar after his contract expires. According to the latest reports, WWE officials are willing to make a new offer to NXT superstar, Johnny Gargano.

The former NXT champion’s contract expires on Friday, December 3rd, and WWE has already made a ‘very strong offer’ in a bid to re-sign him.

“Johnny Gargano has not signed a new contract, but WWE is pushing very hard for him to do so and evidently made a very strong offer for him to stay here for a long time. His deal is up 12/3,” reported Meltzer.

However, with this new ‘revamped’ NXT, will Gargano stay with Vince McMahon any longer? According to the WWE Universe, Gargano should have debuted on the main roster a while ago.
