WWE has a ton of talent under their umbrella. Despite having five brands to showcase their talent, there are lots of WWE Superstars doing absolutely nothing, including former NXT Champions Aleister Black and Andrade. While some are still learning the business, Black and Andrade do not garner interest from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon anymore.

Vince McMahon not interested in Aleister Black and Andrade

Both Aleister Black and Andrade were regular features of WWE Raw last year, throughout the pandemic era. Fast forward a year later, and both men are nowhere to be seen. Not even on Main Event!

Dave Meltzer recently provided an update on Aleister Black and Andrade’s status in WWE on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer noted WWE has nothing in store for Aleister Black, despite the Dutchman being on the same brand as Paul Heyman (a man who is a huge fan of Black).

Meltzer noted Heyman can’t do anything for Black as he not an Executive Director anymore. Heyman is simply an on-air talent now. He said, “He doesn’t have that kind of power right now. If he had power, yeah, I could see it. But he does not have that power.

Vince does not see anything in Aleister Black, or Andrade, or any of those guys that when Heyman lost his position and I said the guys that are f**ked.” Meltzer continued.

Meltzer noted Shayna Baszler is the only one whose position on the show didn’t get severely affected as Black and Andrade. “The only one that ended up not being completely f**ked was Shayna because I guess they like the idea of Shayna and Nia Jax, so she got brought back. But pretty much everybody else there with Bo Dallas in catering.” he concluded. (H/t WrestleTalk)

Where are Aleister Black and Andrade?

Aleister Black feuded with Seth Rollins and his disciples alongside Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio last year. He then turned heel, attacking Kevin Owens after suffering a storyline eye injury. Black and Owens feuded for a few weeks before being drafted to WWE SmackDown later in the year.

Black appeared on Night 2 of the 2020 WWE Draft on SmackDown. And that’s about it. He hasn’t been on TV since. There were reports of Black wanting to move to NXT, but WWE rejected it.

What’s more interesting is that WWE released Aleister Black’s wife, Zelina Vega, following a fallout over the third-party edict the company sent out.

Andrade and Vega’s final WWE appearance came on the October 12 episode of Raw, where The Fiend and Alexa Bliss put them down with Sister Abigail. This would be the last time we saw both in WWE programming. Vega was released and Andrade has since been in oblivion.

It’s sad to see Vince McMahon not having any interest in the great talent both Aleister Black and Andrade possess. Vince may not watch other promotions, but he can surely watch a few matches from NXT just in case he’s forgotten what these two men are capable of.
