Vince McMahon is under internal investigation currently over allegations that he paid $3 million to a former employee. He stepped down from his position as the chairman after the news broke.
In his absence, Stephanie McMahon will be the interim chairwoman of WWE and will handle the operations. However, while the news broke about Vince McMahon, he was not alone who is investigated. The long-time WWE official, Johnny Ace, aka John Laurinaitis, was also seemingly involved in the whole fiasco as well.
Until the conclusion of the investigation into recent allegations, I am honored to assume the role of interim Chairwoman & CEO. I love @WWE and all it continues to do to entertain billions around the world. https://t.co/E2MushpoSG

WWE also suspended him from his position as the Head of Talent Relations. In the absence of Laurinaitis, the interim Head of Talent Relations will be Bruce Prichard.
The Ringside News recently shared the news regarding John Laurinaitis’ future in WWE. Their report said, “John Laurinaitis’ WWE cell phone number has been shut off. Word going around is that he’s had this working number since 2001.”

Laurinaitis has not appeared on any WWE shows since the investigation started. On the other hand, we saw Vince McMahon cutting short promos on last week’s SmackDown and this week’s RAW.

WWE hasn’t officially announced the news regarding John Laurinaitis’ status with the company. However, He is no longer performing the duties he once was. Nobody was able to contact Ace as he completely switched his company phone off. While they have not confirmed that Laurinaitis is no longer with WWE, they say the latest development is “not a good sign.”
