There have been a lot of points of confusion among fans after the multi-billion dollar WWE and UFC merger was completed earlier this month. Naturally, the employees of the Stamford-based promotion had their apprehensions regarding the new arrangement. WWE CEO Nick Khan has since opened up on how Vince McMahon addressed the matter.

McMahon has returned to his brainchild after a five-month hiatus and became the chairman of the WWE board. He has been roped in as the Executive Chairman after the deal. And he addressed the workforce in order to deal with the backlash around his return.

What did Vince McMahon’s communique to WWE employees talk about?

Khan interacted with LightShed Live on April 7th and spoke on the matter. He said, On Monday {April 3}, you know when this deal was officially announced, Vince sent out a company-wide email to our thousand or so employees, including myself, and in the Email, he laid out the structure of the NewCo.”

As is the case with any blockbuster deal, the existing employees are mostly in a state of confusion as to their roles within the organization. The top brass is responsible to allude to any issues that they may have.

And McMahon’s email after the Endeavor merger was just that. This isn’t the only concern regarding Vinnie Mac’s return to the wrestling juggernaut. Khan also addressed the claims that he could be influencing the creative aspect as well.

He said in the same interview, “Specifically, Vince articulated that Paul Levesque remains the sole Chief Creative Officer. Sole. How does that work? Does that mean that technically because I’m in charge of the business side of the business that I don’t seek input from other people?”

The WWE President tried to clarify who actually was in charge of the booking. It remains to be seen whether the fans buy into his remarks. But the questions about McMahon’s influence on the creative are unlikely to die down anytime soon.

The WWE workforce would have had their questions in terms of the structure of the deal. And Vince McMahon’s company-wide communication would have gone a long way in clarifying the issues that they may have had. The finer details of the UFC merger will become more clear as time passes.
