No wrestling fan can forget the illustrious career of Hulk Hogan. The WWE legend had a great run as the ultimate baby face of the company and made Vince McMahon millions of dollars in the 80s.

Hogan went to WCW in the early 90s and had a great run as the top heel. However, when Mr. McMahon purchased WCW, The Hulkster was back in WWE in 2002. Further, he had some memorable feuds with nWo, The Rock, Triple H, Kurt Angle, and many more.

Kurt Angle shares his experience with the backstage power of Hulk Hogan in a meeting with Vince McMahon

Recently, on The Kurt Angle Show, The Olympic Hero shares a similar experience he faced in 2002 King of the Ring. He recalled Vince McMahon telling him to join the meeting with Hulk Hogan. This was to tell The Hulkster tapping out to Kurt Angle in their match.

Angle said, “What he was trying to do is intimidate Hulk. And you can’t intimidate Hulk Hogan. I mean, you know, he’s a frickin bada**. Don’t get me wrong, I mean, if we were gonna go at it, I would have won. But it was crazy that Vince wanted me to do this. So I’m just getting out of my seat, and I’m leaning in.”

He added, “I’m like, What the hell am I doing? Why am I doing this? Vince says ‘Hulk, Kurt’s going over by tap out next week at the pay-per-view.’ Hogan looks at me, he has his head back like this, because I’m like, in his face. And he goes, he just puts a thumbs up. That’s cool with me. So it was hilarious. I just couldn’t believe Vince wanted me to intimidate Hulk Hogan.”

It is no secret Vince McMahon always treated Hulk Hogan as a top star in WWE even during his run in the 2000s. McMahon thought Hogan would reject losing via tap-out to Angle and so asked The Olympic Hero to cut in to support him if The Hulkamania rejects the ending.

Surprisingly, The Immortal One liked the idea and accepted the decision made by the boss. The match got heavy over the fans and many critics gave positive reviews to the ending as well.

Kurt Angle on his segment with The Hulkster

Angle said, “It’s amazing that fans go crazy for something that’s I mean, I love the fans. That’s awesome, but this thing was so dumb. Oh damn, it’s good. I’m bald on both ends. They (the crowd) were awesome. Yeah.”
