If there is one WWE superstar who has made the most of his WWE stardom, it is Dwayne Johnson. The man who grew his fanbase from a small high school wrestling ring to millions around the world was once speculated to run for President. But all those plans came to a halt earlier this week when Johnson revealed his views about taking office.

He said that he wants to be a father and take his responsibilities as a parent seriously, as his daughters are very young. He explicitly said that his plans for running for the Presidency are completely “off the table“. While The Rock has made his intentions clear, let’s take a look back at the time when he played Barack Obama in SNL.

Dwayne Johnson portrayed an angry Obama in SNL

In a segment of SNL that made everyone laugh out loud, Johnson was seen as the ‘Rock Obama’. When Barack Obama, the former President of the United States, took office, SNL had to mark the occasion by performing a skit on the President. While they usually critic Presidents on their show, this time they mocked Obama’s patience and calmness. And who better to play the bulked-out version of the President than Johnson?

In the skit, after a group of authorities pressure the President, played by another actor, Johnson pops out, tearing the shirt and shoes in the process. When the cabinet expresses their concern to Johnson’s parody of the President, he just throws them out of the window, but not before he delivers the most comedic line in the sketch, “Me no like.”

Dwayne Johnson has made numerous appearances in SNL. He made his first appearance as a guest host in 2000, when he was at the top of WWE. His second was when he played the role of the Scorpion King. Then, as he became more popular, he made more appearances in 2009, 2015, and 2017.
