John Cena came back to this week’s SmackDown to give an answer to the Universal champion Roman Reigns after he cut a now infamous ‘missionary’ promo against Cena last week.

Cena, Reigns, and Balor were in a contract signing segment in which Cena got his wish fulfilled to face Roman Reigns for the Universal title at SummerSlam PPV . The match was made official, however, it came with a bit of a surprise at the end.

The fans then saw Cena leave with his wife after the SmackDown was over. A fan recorded a brief clip in which Cena is seen shirtless along with his wife Shay Shariatzadeh while they held each other’s hands.

It was good to see Shay coming out and watching her husband perform live in front of the WWE Universe. The couple secretly married each other last year in Tampa after dating for almost one year.

John Cena should fight on TV before SummerSlam

Now that it is officially in the books that Cena will stay until SummerSlam, we might see the Leader of Cenation getting some ring rust out of him in a televised match on SmackDown.

Ever since Cena made his return on the Money in the Bank pay-per-view earlier this month, he has wrestled two dark matches after the program went off the air.

Riddle mostly carried the match while Cena was making quick ins and outs from the ring. Riddle made the last tag to Cena where he entered and performed his finisher to win the match.
