Hulk Hogan and Shaquille O’Neal are two absolute legends in their respective fields. It is secret to none that they are also good friends and have even appeared together in WCW and Impact Wrestling.

But once, during the shooting of a commercial, Shaq did something that the Hulkster might not have liked.

It so happened that while clicking a picture together, Hogan called in Jimmy Hart. On hearing that, the NBA legend asked Hogan whether Jimmy Hart is related to Bret Hart or not.

In reply, the WCW legend said, “No he is not”. Soon after that, Jimmy Hart told Shaquille O’Neal not to mention that to Hogan because he might not like it.

Hulk Hogan is one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. But Bret Hart was also no less. Some people even considered Bret Hart to be the better wrestler and a better babyface than the Hulkster.

And in Hogan’s presence during the shoot, Shaq marked out for Bret Hart. Thus, Hogan might not have liked this and Jimmy Hart pointed it out to Shaq, who might not have been aware of this thing at that time.

Shaquille O’Neal is not any stranger to the professional wrestling world

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest basketball players. But he always had a keen interest in professional wrestling over the years. In 1994, he made appearances on World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

At the Bash at the Beach PPV in 1994, he presented the WCW World Heavyweight Championship to Hulk Hogan after the Hulkster defeated Ric Flair on that night.

Shaquille O’Neal once appeared alongside Hogan during a backstage segment on Impact Wrestling in 2012. This is not all. He even appeared in AEW and WWE.

At WrestleMania 32, the NBA legend took part in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. However, he could not win it. Later, a match against former WWE superstar, Big Show, was on the cards. But it never took place for some reason.

Most recently, he appeared on AEW Dynamite. In March 2021, Shaquille O’Neal team up with Jade Cargill to defeat Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes in a mixed tag team match on AEW Dynamite.
