Daniel Bryan was the hottest superstar during the year 2013. Bryan had one heck of a connection with the fans that the current roster can only dream of. When Vince McMahon wanted to shave Daniel Bryan’s beard

The beard of Daniel Bryan had a separate fanbase itself. WWE sold millions of merchandise featuring Bryan and his infamous beard. WWE was selling a storyline in which Vince and the Authority considered Bryan a B+ Superstar and nothing more than that. However, the fans wanted the former WWE Champion to be the poster boy of WWE. This led to the start of the epic Yes movement, which is one of the most prominent landmarks in Bryan’s career.

McMahon had no other choice than to consider Bryan as a top superstar. He wanted to give a little makeover to Bryan and tried to make him more of a corporate-friendly guy before his match against John Cena. Daniel, who wanted to become WWE Champion material, came out dressed sharply. Vince called out Wade Barrett to complete the proceeding. Barrett, instead of shaving Bryan’s beard, got ambushed by Bryan. Daniel shaved half of Barrett’s beard as he stated he would not change for anyone.

Daniel Bryan was one of a kind. He was a breath of fresh air and the fans wanted to see a wrestler of his stature rise to the top. The Yes Movement was more of a rebellious revolution from the WWE Universe. They declared they were not okay with WWE choking them with superstars that just fit the mould of Vince McMahon. Therefore, Bryan became this idol for the fans, this leader for the movement they wanted.

 With the help of the fans and his hardworking character, Bryan rose to the top of the mountain. Headlining WrestleMania was his prime achievement, where he won the WWE World Championship. Bryan making Batista tap out to his Yes Lock turned out to be one of the best moments in WWE history. At that moment, fans knew why they loved WWE in the first place, the unpredictable adrenaline rush.
